Medical Records & Health Information Technologist
Program Length: 854 HRS
Program Description: The student will be able to organize and manage health information data, ensuring it's quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security in both paper and electronic systems. the student will also be responsible for the billing and coding using the CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPCS level 2.
Objective: The student will:
*Organize and maintain data for clinical databases.
* Track patient outcomes for quality assessment and retrieve patient records for medical personnel.
* Demonstrating proficiency in health information management, using assigned CPT,ICD-9, and HCPCS codes to both report the procedures performed and to provide the necessary information to process a claim for reimbursement by the appropriate insurance agencies
