Medical Assisting (944 hours)
The Medical Assisting Diploma Program is designed to prepare competent entry-level medical assistants in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills). And affective (behavior), learning domains. Graduates will typically seek employment in the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and other health practitioners.
Medical Assisting Program Course Description
The program emphasizes theoretical and practical experience in both front-office administrative duties and clinical responsibilities. Students learn how to assist Physicians with treatments, patient assessments, medications, lab tests, electrocardiography, phlebotomy, emergency procedures, medical insurance, and administrative duties. A clinical externship is required for completion of this program. Students will be assigned for administrative and clinical applications in a suitable physician’s office or ambulatory health care facility under the supervision of the externship coordinator and site preceptor
Orientation for Medical Assistant On July 9th & 10th 2018 from 9am -12pm.
The Orientation will be done in one hour increments.
